Launching the Environmental Health Program

BREAKING NEWS: Monte Cristi.- In order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in the 28 public hospitals on the border and surrounding areas, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Ministry of Public Health launched the Environmental Health Program.

The first health centers to benefit from the program are the Elio Fiallo, Pedernales, Ramon Matias Mella, Dajabón, of the municipalities Castañuelas and Guayubín, Montecristi, and General Melenciano, Jimaní.

Installed in each center were, water tanks, pumps, hydro pneumatic tanks, plastic boxes to deposit sharps waste, trash cans, cars intended for the transfer of patients and disposable materials for sterilizing medical waste.
