To reward meritorious studentsBREAKING NEWS: Montecristi.- The Airports Department through Journey Education Program, together with the Flying Club Deportivo Dominicano Palma and North West tourist Cluster Montecristi, Fly In held yesterday, in order to reward meritorious students of this province.
The act of receipt of the aircraft at the aerodrome was made Ozzie Virgil and was led by Miguel Balaguer graduates and Julio Alvarez, deputy executive, the lawyer representing Aristides Fernandez Zucco, Secretary of State, Executive Director of Airports Department, in addition, Mauro Ghisolfi, president of the flying club and Jose Luis Bournigal, president of tourism cluster.
Attended by some 12 aircraft, the crew gave a talk to students from high schools San Jose and José Martí, on the history of aviation, emphasizing the Dominican fliers.
Balaguer said that the Fly-In has the peculiarity that provides opportunities for deserving students to enjoy an aerial tour of El Morro
and other tourist attractions in the region.
He noted that provision of Fernandez Zucco, this type of activity will be coordinated with the management of the schools where an airport is, as an incentive for outstanding students to encourage them to improve their academic performance and provide information and joy to board a plane.
In aviation activity, involved parents and friends of the students, who enjoyed the spectacle of parachuting, prepared by the Dominican Air Force, Light Ultra Club in La Vega, helicopters and a display of bike control aircraft handled.
