The National Association and the Noroestana merges

BREAKING NEWS: The National Association of Savings and Loans and the Noroestana Association informed yesterday of the merger of the two organizations.

This merger, which is effective as of today, represents a rise for the development of the North-western area.

This process benefits of the necessary authorization necessary of the monetary authorities and of the supervisors of the National Financial system and will represent a more effective administrative management for the two entities.

This operation added five new branches to the National Association, for a total forty-two, recovering the National District, East Santo Domingo and the East, Northern and North-western regions.

At the time of a meeting with journalists of the area, Francisco Mello Chala stressed that the National is participating with a marked incidence to the development of the initiatives of the middle-class and small and medium-size companies of the North-West, with a special attention for the populations of Mao, Esperanza, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón and Montecristi.

The government will repair the economic restaurants of Montecristi

And the ones of the north zone

BREAKING NEWS : The Dominican President, Leonel Fernández, authorized the General Administrator of the Economic Restaurants of the State, Nicolas Calderón, to repair 8 restaurants of the north zone of the country.

Calderón explained that after the decision of the president, the reconstruction of restaurants of the municipalities of Constanza, San Francisco de Macorís, Montecristi, Mao, Puerto Plata and Santiago started.

On past Friday, Calderón traveled all over the north zone in order to make a report about the situation of each place where operate economic restaurants, and in which subsidised food is served to poor persons.

The General Administration of the Economic Restaurants, in order to enlarge its actions and to give food to more persons, started other projects that will concern the populations of the municipalities of Samaná, Nagua, Cotuí and Dajabón.

Today, more or less 25000 persons receive the food of these resraurants, for only RD $5,00, and that contains rice, red beans, meats and salads.

At the same time, the General Administration of the Economic Restaurants announced the launching of a mobile restaurant, that will be inaugurated during the Book Fair.
