Veracruz boat wins the Fishing Tournament XLI at the Blue Marlin

BREAKING NEWS: Monte Cristi.- The boat Veracruz won the Monte Carlo Cup XLI Fishing Tournament at Blue Marlin Don Alvaro Quesada, while Freddy Zapata was first individually in the event that ended on Saturday on the coast of Montecristi.

Veracruz finished with 500 points, while Elijah was second with 250, while Carolina was third and took the Kendall trophy.In the individual event, Zapata reached 500 points, to claim the trophy and the Don Ignacio Cruz Cup, Elias Ignacio Cruz was second with 250 and won the Brugal headband, while Ramón Perez Bras was third, winning the statue donated by the Cibao Airport.

Freddy Zapata took the Baldom trophy, for most Marlins caught and released, the effigy The Yaque Motors award for the best fisherman on the first day was won by Cruz, while the Cibao Ceramic crown for the most outstanding on the last day of competition went to Bras.

The best crew was awarded to the Veracruz, and that of Elijah, was second. The awards were presented by Elias Ignacio Cruz Yacht club commodore of Montecristi, organizers, Cesar Hernandez, director of the event, Frank Duran, La Tabacalera S.A., official sponsors, Yara Hernandez, Cibao Association Savings and loans; Keldian Ramirez, the Reserve Bank and others.

The tournament ended on Saturday, and was sponsored by La Tabacalera, S.A.
